|
|
Well, I'm thinking about getting this laptop:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834101182
I got that one instead because it was cheaper and the specs is worth the money.
I was wondering is the AMD Athlon X2 QL-64 any good?
I heard many of them overheat, but I'm not sure if AMD fixed that already or not.
As I look more into the CPU spec, I noticed the cache kinda suck, or is it okay?
What about the graphic card? Can it handle simple games like Combat Arms, Soldier Front, Rumble Fighter, GunZ, and all of that?
I also heard that there was something wrong the graphic card, regarding this thread:
http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=99753&STARTPAGE=1&FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Linear
And one more thing, if I get this netbook:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152093
Will I be able to use it with a projector?
Like I need to present something with a projector, is it compatible?
If it isn't compatible, what will I need to make it compatible?
Like buying an adapter for it or something?
Thanks

The cache is decent sized. Note that it is 512 per core, meaning 1024 total
I dont know about it overheating or graphic issues, never had one.
And yes the other laptop should be compatible with projectors, pretty much all are.

As far as the netbook goes, you should be fine connecting it to a projector as long as you have a VGA cable (and that your projector accepts VGA).
Although the HD3200 (coupled with the rest of the system) should be able to play it, I'd still recommend getting a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, for both using Aero/any lightweight graphics and improving your gaming experience.
With such a non-intensive game, the CPU cache will not affect it too much. Even if you had a very CPU-intensive game, the effect of cache is only about 1FPS per MB of cache (Crysis), since they're usually limited by the GPU anyways. Synthetic applications like extracting files, benchmarks, and the like will use it far more efficiently.

Well, you see, I already order the laptop, so I was wondering was it worth the money with the CPU, GPU, RAM, and HDD?
Any information on the AMD Athlon review? Is it good? Does it overheat easily?
