My iPod home button is kinda` fucked up so I`m taking it to the AppleStore. I did have it jailbroken & didn`t pay for the current 3.0 firmware. but I did put it into DFU mode and downloaded the original 2.2.1 firmware from a website. So do you guys have any suggestions of what I should take there? Like should I take the original packing the iPod came in w/ headphones, or should I just take the iPod itself. Thanks guys.

What do you mean by 'fucked up'?
Huge crack in it, battery won't charge, can't connect to a computer, or software malfunction?

I doubt they would fix it or give you a new one if it is jailbroken.

They shouldn't be able to tell if you've done a full wipe and down graded your firmware.
I have the same problem, with my home button not working, but haven't taken it to the shop yet.

I second the above post.
If ya wipe it clean and change back to the original firmware, there shouldn't be a way for them to tell.

nope, even if you jailbroke your ipod touch then unjailbroke it to originial firmware they could easily find out if it ever was as jailbreaking leaves certain traces

I'm sure they can tell, but I doubt they bother to search each iPod for traces of jailbreak for just a service.

Here`s a suggestion for all you guys since I went to the Apple Store. If you jailbroke your device and broke it don`t call the service representative, because they`ll send you a box which will go to the company & they can find out.
-- Just take it to the AppleStore, they saw my home button was a little fucked up and he brought me a new iPod... It`s not necessarily new, more like refurbished, but the iPod had no scratches no signs of use and the steel back had no fingerprints.
-- There was another kid that came, his iPod`s power button fucked up and his Audio input was apparently 'a little fuzzy', they instantly replaced his iPod Touch too.
Hope this helped guys & thanks for tryna` help me.
