| Some guy from Yahoo Answers wrote: | First you want to break it in and after about 2 weeks- 2 months take it apart and spray silicone spray (obtainable and wal-mart in the Lube Oil aisle or car lubricants) on each individual piece. I would provide with a link to the video on how to do it but youtube is not currently working on my computer but here is the guys page who shows how to do it http://www.youtube.com/user/thrawst
NOTE; Petroleum jelly has been known to damage the innercore of a cube. Jig-a-loo is also frequently used but im am not sure if that damages your cube. Be safe and stick with silicone
Hope this helps and if u wanna see how broken in the cube should be go to http://www.youtube.com/user/somethingcoo…
thats my page i can solve the cube in 25 seconds |

| You're better off using some kind of actual lubricant rather than some oil or vaseline. Also, the way some cubes are made, they have trouble cutting corners, so you may just get a dud cube. |

Use an actual lubricant.
Not to be perverted, but I used KY Jelly. Works really well. |

It will eventually dry out. Use a proper silicone lubricant. |

| Make sure you take it apart and clean it first then apply the lubricant inside and in the craks too, especially the spring areas in the middle. |

You apply it to the spring area too? Why? I hope you don't mean the actual springs. |
