Can someone please confirm, I have not gotten any alert before and I have always used this virus protection

Is this just a fake alert or is it not, please confirm would you.

As I said, I have never gotten this alert before, and I had the same virus protection too.

Most likely you got a updated version or virus definition.
generic means that they have nu clue on what it is but only that it looks scaaaaaary. It's safe. Don't bother yourself with false alarms like this.

Also, do you really want to put your trust in an anti virus that can't spell the word generic ?[/i]

Haha, but its Genetik as in Genetic :P
At least that's what I've been told by my girlfriends brother who is a technician.

I didn't really bother, was just wondering. Not like I have anything to steal anyway.

These 'genetik' and 'agent' flags are just so general it's unreal. It picks up more false-positives then actual threats. I turned off the detection of packers in the settings of ESET the second I installed it. I would suggest you do the same.
