explain how thats bad?
I dont see how blocking annoying advertisement is bad.

only income for DB to pay for the orum hosting is that Advertisement, he doesnt get paid if you dont look at it, if everyone used Ad blockers the forum wouldn't be able to continue due to not enough founds to pay the hosting
