Okay, I want to create a simple Console.Beep() equivalent for the speakers, but I want to avoid using directsound and the massive buffering system.

What I need is a simple function to play sound through the speaker with frequency and optionally duration parameters.

Case speaker or actual speakers?

The aptly named 'Beep' function is the unmanaged equivalent of Console.Beep()

Otherwise maybe you could look into FMOD for a sound system? Maybe overkill.

I actually meant the speakers, not the motherboard speaker.
