Well for example there are websites, you go into index page and there are updates
:
"March 29
Updates website skin"

and also like everyhting else is updated like if they wanna put announsment on all the webpages of the website they jsut do it in one page and it happens in every page...

Do you really got to pay for that kind of script Sad

? cuz i have to edit EVERYTING manually in every page and it sucks

Don't forget there are pre-made configurable content management systems, if you don't mind re-building the site to an extent..

If your host gives you a MYSQL server, you could try something like
guppy cms, or joomla, etc..

Just google content management system.

There's a bunch of other systems.. i can't remember what they're called, but something like tinynews , has basically that functionality, but doesn't use SQl at all.. come to think of it.. I think guppy is SQL free too..

Anyhoo, instead of starting from scratch, it's worth noting that there's plenty of this free stuff out there, and that's probably a good place to start.. since you can mod the code to your heart's desire.

If you're talking about a forum, you can write a simple plugin in php to display a short message.

I'm assuming that you mean something like what warez-bb has up?
