|
|
I hooked up my Xbox 360 to my new Sony Bravia HDTV, and when I play COD4 or any game, it has this like 0.5 second lag. Like if I move the Gun AIM thing (Idk what it`s called) like I move my guys aim direction to the left, it kinda` lags and turns slower. But when I put it on my old regular TV. It doesn`t lag and it`s perfectly fine. Anyone know what how to fix this lag issue? I`m fuckin` getting shitted on Xbox Live. lol. Thanks guys.

this is a problem with some HDTV's
some have a mode for gaming that will hopefully help the lag.

Yes, there are modes.
On your remote control, push Menu and go through the settings for a mode of some sort...

It's called input lag if you want to Google. You might want to try different HDMI connectors, because for example, in my Samsung LE-40A656, the HDMI 2 has the lowest input lag, it's labelled as the PC/something connection. I haven't experienced any lag over HDMI, but if I try to play PS2 over composite, the lag is just unbearable.
Also turning off all the processing features might help. They're just awful, instead really tweak your color spaces, etc.
The input lag appears because your TV processes the image a lot and some components just create a very very small delay. Having lots of small delays result in one big delay.

Uh, yeah I found the gaming mode option, but it made it a little better, btw, I`m using the component cables. and I did change the switch to HD. Also, on the display settings on the Xbox I made it 1080p. There`s still that noticeable lag but it`s better. Still, I can`t really play with it. Btw, my cousins had the SAME problem, they fixed it though. They`re HDTV is older than mine, mine is the "perfect HDTV," apparently my HDTV`s refresh rate is higher, and they also use a PS3 btw. And also, should I get a different cable to connect my Xbox to my TV? Btw cables cost like fucking $40. So Idk guys.
EDIT: It cost $49.99 from the Xbox main website. Lol.
