|

Why would a simple VS2008 C++ DLL, and VB6 interface work for me, but not someone else.
Put dll in windows\system32 folder, and on my computer it calls it just fine. on others computers it friggen "file not found..."
any ideas? plais?
*Solved: I had the compiler in Debug mode, not Release. I'm retarded. (thanks Slug)

I've been using the dll generated after hitting "compile" and it's in the Debug directory.
How to change project to Release in vs2008?

now getting errors never seen before, egh.
error C2664: '_wcsicmp' : cannot convert parameter 2 from 'const char [13]' to 'const wchar_t *'
1> Types pointed to are unrelated; conversion requires reinterpret_cast, C-style cast or function-style cast
worked before doing release
how to use:
if(_tcsicmp(pe32.szExeFile, "game.exe") == 0)

how about :
TCHAR szGame[9] = TEXT("game.exe");
post your whole source if there are more errors.. i'll be able to fix it much quicker if i have a version i can keep compiling, i'm new to strings like that. in C i just use arrays of bytes

| I'm guessing they don't have the VS2008 runtime files. Common problem.
