|
|
So basically when I plug in flash drives, iPods (which is a flash drive), etc., into the computer, they're not detected because for some reason, my system isn't detecting my ports, however, I did some searching on my computer, and here's what I found:
Opening up Device Manager, my USB volumes don't have a drive assigned.
So I thought, simple! I'll just go to Disk Management and assign it there!
Who knew, it didn't show up there either.
But then, I went to my Safely Remove Hardware, and guess what? It's there, but somehow disabled!
I all of a sudden got this about three weeks ago and have no idea how it happened. Thinking it might be a virus, I ran a virus scan and deleted all detected viruses manually. When that failed, I updated my drivers. Still, nothing worked. Help?

It's a possibility that your windows services are disabled.
click start>run and type in msconfig.
Click on the service tab and select enable all, click apply and restart.

Don't Ipod's only run on Itunes...
Install Itunes and check if your Ipod is then working...
Also to test your port, use a standard USB Thumbdrive...
