Hey, I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy/build a computer on the weekend...That's not the point.
I'm supposed to spend $1500, but I'm going a little over...
I'm going to MSY, an Australian Computer Shop...
This is what I have made so far...
Intel Core i7 920 2.6Ghz $397
G-B EX58-UD4P $335
WD HDD SATA 1TB $124
LG SATA DVD $35
RAM 6G DDR3 1333 Kingston $126
Case $150
Power Supply $150
896M GTX 260 Gigabyte Graphics $267
TOTAL= $1584
Questions:
=============================
1. ASUS P6T or the G-B EX58-UD4P and why?
2. What Case?
3. What Power Supply? Preferably cheaper then $150.
4. What Graphics Card?
Please feel free to change anything you want, I am open to suggestions...
Must be Intel, Must be an nVidia Geforce...
Hoping to be seeing opinions of Humper and Superweapons  .

Motherboard - P6T Deluxe
Power Supply - TX Corsair
I can tell you that your build is very similar to mine, the only thing different is the motherboard and liquid cooling system.
Btw, here's my build
intel i7 920
asus P6T deluxe mobo
nvidia GTX 260
3 Gigs DDR3
Western Digital 500 Gigs
Liquid Cooling
LG DVD

For a case in your price range something like the NZXT Apollo, Thermaltake RS101 or the Apevia X-Plorer would do but it's really up to personal preference. If they already come with a power supply I would not recommend using it and just go with an aftermarket one.
Power supply - Thermaltake TR2 550W or the Coolermaster Extreme Power+ 600, has all the right connectors that you need and has enough juice for your vid card
Video Card - That is a fine card, I was planning to pick one up myself
As for which motherboard I'm not really sure, the Asus has a lot of perks like the express gate but im not sure if it supports SLI. I would get the Gigabyte but you're gonna have to get someone Else's opinion on which to get.

The Asus P6T Deluxe does support sli

Both board has have similar specs, but there is a difference in their SATA storage setups.
Gigabyte and Asus both have 8 internal SATA ports.
Gigabyte a 2 port eSATA bracket and +1 for them to add a female molex connector along with it since eSATA does not provide power of its own.
The down side to this bracket is if your planning to use it, you will loose 2 SATA ports.
Asus has a build in single eSATA port directly on the back, but you will need an additional power brick to power up your eSATA device.
In order for eSATA to become hot plugging capable, you will need to change the SATA configuration to ACHI, otherwise you will have to shutdown your system everytime you un/plug your eSATA drive.
From the 2 I'll go with the Asus as I'll will not loose my SATA ports for the sake of eSATA.

I don't have and probably won't have any eSATA drives in the future...
I'm buying the GTX260 and I think I'm going for the Thermaltake V9 Case...
Still don't know which Motherboard and which PSU to choose...
The Corsair HX unfortunately isn't available at MSY...

What's MSY?
And I would recommend the Asus P6T mobo over any mobo that supports the i7.
Is the P6T Deluxe V2 out yet?

MSY is the computer store that I'm buying all my parts from.
I can currently only afford the ASUS P6T or the G-B EX58-UD4P, I can't afford Deluxe...

Difference between P6T and Deluxe is $107, thing is I can't go over $1500 or else I don't get the Education Tax Refund of 50%, therefore I'll only pay $750 instead of $1500...
