Okay.
So I went to google to find a free version of SpeedConnect, which is supposed to optimize your internet connection. I download the "Free full version". I ran the program and it turned off my firewall, that's when I knew it was a virus. I immediately turned my firewall back on then deleted the program from my computer. Now the problem is my only antivirus program "Symantec AntiVirus" is coming up with alerts that it has caught a virus and put it into quarantine where it can't harm my computer and I can delete it. The problem is it keeps coming up with the alerts over and over. It always says the same few viruses, same name, same trojan, blah blah. So the virus isn't fully removed from my computer and I need to remove it. The alerts are annoying and not only is it doing that, but its slowing down my computer drastically. It's also slowing down my internet and it's hard to run any programs or remove anything. So my question is anyway I can remove this virus? Also some helpful things is, It's only on 1 user. I have 2 users one of which I am on right now and the one I'm currently on isn't effected by the virus at all.
So how I get rid of this bitch?
Also about interent, anyone here play halo 3?
If so anyway I can better my upload speed so my shots register more on halo?
Thanks.

Apparently the virus has taken root within your user directory. Boot in safe mode, delete the virus using some other AV (malware bytes). Symentec can suck my dick in virus protection.
Or just reformat/reinstall your OS.

It could also spread to other users, so I would back up important files to another partition and/or an external USB drive and reformat.
Also, could you split that up into paragraphs? For most users here, that looks like a wall of text.

Or if you wanna get real down into it, burn a copy of Hirens boot disk or ultimate boot disk and run a boot virus scan to get it before it even starts. I think that would help.
That is, of course, if the safe mode scan doesnt work.
