I did it and stopped one year ago.

It helped a lot, but it was hell. If you can endure it, you'll be the smartest kid in your class. If you can't put up with it, sucks for you.

I got to the last level, never took reading though. Only maths. It's quite beneficial, and you end up at a good place if you go through with it. If you don't have the willpower to go through with it, just forget it. The $80 per month would be wasted then.

But if you could think you can bear it, it will be worth it. Like I said before, it'll really help you in school and you'll mostly likely be at the top of your class.

How can you say it's "FUCKING DUMB" if you say it's for really young kids. No, it's not for really young kids, it's for people of all ages under 18. And it helps.

His dad is probably forcing him because he wants him to do better in school. @OP, give it a chance before you say no. But after a year or so, you'll really want to say no.

It's a waste of time imo, try to get yourself out of it.

Your seriously fucking out of luck. Kumon is good, but starting at a younger age. It's completely pointless, you should be learning in school anyways. It's too expensive in this economy, and it's useless. Convince your dad to quit with good grades.

note: tutor*

well i used to go there. it was really gay because you don't learn anything. they give you all the stuff you already know to "build your foundation". You'll probably hate it, unless you're motivated for some reason.

The math is really annoying, like 5 pages of the same crap every single day. If you have extra time, i would just do all of it on one day, haha

In the end, it helps a bit but it didn't teach me shit.

To add to what others have said, kumon puts the "kill" in drill n kill. They kill braincells, it is so mind-numbingly boring.

If you are motivated, do it, if not, avoid it.

True, it'll be best for you to quit after you complete J. You'll never use any material after J, unless you want to major in maths for college.

Although you really should have started it when you were young. You get much more out of it that way.

I know some people who do this.
They're epic smart.
It'd probably suck, but from what I can see you'll learn a lot.
