My sister got an old Fujitsu Siemens computer, 2gb ram, 2ghz dual core and a Intel Graphics accelerator of some kind. Runs Windows XP home edition
As soons as i turn it on, the cooler starts to go, and it runs at max speed constantly
I've been monitoring with MW Monitor from CPUID for some time, and when it has just turned on, the cpu is about 70 degrees celcius, after about 15 min, its constantly above 90 degrees celcius. The highest temp so far monitered is 107 degrees celcius.
The computer has never cut out, and i believe i heard that Intel CPU's cut out at 90 degrees celcius
Anything to worry about?, we've been thinking of getting her a new Comp, but we would prefer waiting atleast half a year...

I've been monitoring with CPU-Z for some time, and when it has just turned on, the cpu is about 70 degrees celcius, after about 15 min, its constantly above 90 degrees celcius. The highest temp so far monitered is 107 degrees celcius.

Strange, as cpu-z isn't a temperature-measuring program. Don't trust software too much on those kind of things, see if there's any temperature thingy things in the BIOS instead.

Damn, sorry, i ment HW-Monitor, always switch them..., and i wasn't able to find anything in the BIOS
I've attempted to put a Thermometer right next to the cooler, and after half an hour, it said 63 degrees celcius...
