Hey, so i've recently been able to get back my 9 years old desktop computer from my aunt that gave it back because she said it wouldn't work. I figured out it was the fan.
Not having the Windows XP disc at the moment, i can't format.
I got to install Ad-Aware and got to delete the virus i had on msn, but i know there's still somes left since task manager keeps getting disabled upon restart, and having weird processes.
The only problem is that i can't get to install any anti-virus because of the virus, or, at least, not good ones.
I scanned with Hijackthis, and here's the log, hoping someone could help me tell what i should REALLY delete.

Found your task manager problem
O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1
Navigate to that key and change the value to 0 or delete it.
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dllcache\sxchost.exe (file missing
sxchost.exe does not seem legit. svchost is legit.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\14.tmp
Virus. Seriously.
That's all I can tell from that log. If you cannot install an antivirus, I recommend downloading a portable antivirus (it might not solve your problem). Norman Malware Cleaner seems good from personal experience.

Well actually, thanks a lot to Weibchen.
I figured out that the virus had infected EVERY single file, including system ones with Norman Malware Cleaner.
I could only download at like 36ko/s max while i actually download around 600ko/s minimum.
The only solution was to format (thanks to my bff for his Windows XP PRO CD + KEY), and now it works 100x times better.
Thanks for all the answers guys.
Especially yours Weibchen.
I guess you paid back for the signature i made you :3
+rep.
P.S : Saf, ShowMyPc would be better help in such cases.
Check it out.

Teamviewer is much better and is free.
It is better for security reasons too.
It essentially the same thing but you have a client on your computer and also can log in to your computer through a portal.
