tomorrow I am getting an iPod touch, but I'm getting an 8 gig, is it enough? I don't think I will have any movies on it, so I think it will be enough for my music and apps so should I get the 8 gig or something else

depends. I have an 8 gig aswell. I have around 600 songs, 2 movies and a shit load of apps and I still have around 1.5 gigs left (plus it's jailbroken).

I can't afford a 16GB I either have to get the 8GB or something else, but I only have like 200ish songs, and do apps take a lot of space?

Also, what're some good free apps(might buy some if they're good)

just jailbreak your ipod and yo ucan get any paid app for free plus a lot more. Most games take up 2-5 MB but some games can take up more

8gb is way too small. i've got a 16gb and i've only got about 3gb left, i've got about 700 songs (mostly good quality), a few gig of apps and no movies at the moment.

depending on the quality and size of your songs, 8gb might be enough, but i wouldn't recommend it. you should be able to estimate though with your current library, and then see how much room you've got left for games and such. the better games are around about 100mb.

Thanks for all the info, I can cut my 200 songs down to like 100 with no problem, so I can add some movies, I think I am still getting the 8GB though

Also, if you can post some good helpful apps that would be appreciated cause there are so many

Those are all games but I love them. First 2 are free, other 2 are paid. but I strongly suggest you jailbreak your ipod touch so you can get any app (paid, free and even apps not available through app store)

Thanks, also, if you google iPod Touch 3rd gen people say it's going to be released at the end of this year, should I wait until that or buy the 2nd gen right now

Wait until the 3rd gen comes out and then buy the 2nd gen. It will become cheaper. Also I have a 16 gig iPod, about 1500 songs no movies and heaps of apps (Jailbroken) but I only have 627mb left.
