I can not figure out what I am doign wrong. I just cant seem the find the value responsible for my ingame score. Could somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong.

ok its official.. there are like 1203 Addresses that switch to 0 when you open map and only like 3 of them turn to 0 when you open the start menu.

I have spent 3 hrs straight trying to find the freaking addy for score... Iv had it I simply cant do it. Can somebody please help me out here?

have u tried * 8?
eks. your score is 100.... 100*8=800
(so u have to search for 800 instead of 100)

yes if I do it that way I come up with 0 results.

Evil or Very Mad Keep in mind this is an emulator we are talking about..

There has got to be some way of sniffing it.



I gave it another shot.

O
Started with 4 byte unknown initial value..
Then I walked around a bit and searched for unchanged values
Then I killed something to increase my score and then searched for increased value.
After doing this several times I am left with 0 addreses!
O

Now I tried starting with unknown and only useing Changed or unchanged to search each time. then finnally I found it.. its like 4 addresses WTF.. I didnt know old games like this were so complicated.

perhaps it was stored as a float or as a double ?
Or even as a text ? (Looked at the memory with memoryview ?)

i hacked a lot of roms and emulators with the following:
If it is MAME(plus or 32)most of the games are stored at Hexademical mode in byte or at 2bytes not hex
if you want to hack the value(12345678)you must select what 2 digits to edit
For example at your scan you want to take 100 gold from 1 gold
go to CE tick the hex icon and select byte.
Make a first scan at 78.
Then take 1 gold so it changed the digit u wanna hack like 79 and press next scan.When u find it first edit it to 99 and then freeze it or it will stuck at 63 if you freeze it at the start.
Now u will take 100 gold from 1.
Do it then for the digits u wanna hack next like 56
