Well as most of you know today I had an interview with a relatively new, but successful, design agency. I went there hoping for work experience, which would be amazing what with where I am at the moment (just finished first year of a degree) but relatively unlikely.

Well I'm a bit rushed so I'm going to be brief, Ill explain more when I have more time x

Well at the end of the interview/meeting one of the guys stepped back and took a deep breath and was like "listen, we've had third years apply for this, a 50 yr old graphic designer and people in the industry". At first I thought, is this a way of letting me down gently? And then he said "and you're one of four we asked to come here". Which was, well, amazing to be honest. It's nice to realize that I had beaten people who should (by experience) be better than me. But the real boost is, I didn't even apply. I didn't even know people were applying for this. I'd sent them an email last September asking for work experience (containing some of my work) and they obviously remembered it because last Monday I received an email asking me if I would like to attend the meeting.

He's going to email me within the next day to confirm some things etc, but initially I have to have like a trial period, they ask me to do 3-4 pieces of work over time and we see how that gets on which is reasonable... then if that works out I'll be part of their team working on a fairly big job (£100,000 budget, pretty fucking big considering I have no prior experience) redesigning the packaging and branding for http://www.voltzenergyshot.co.uk.

So all in all, fucking brilliant morning but means I'm rush rush for the next few days. Which I apologize for as I'm letting you and the judges down with SOTW and LOTW. I'll keep you up to date though :3 x

I have to run now, catch a train. Going to see Lor for a couple of days before going back down to print some stuff and back up for another meeting.

p.s. I drank one of those shots, mean's I've had 50,000% of my RDA (Recommended Daily Amount) of Vitamin B12. That's more than I should have in a lifetime lol.
