There are a few people in my school that have down syndrome.
And they all look similar, and none of them are related what so ever, not by a single drop of blood.
So, why would they look the same? Even if down syndrome is a disease, it shouldn't really effect what their genes' are. Or their parents in that matter.
So yeah...

People can look similar, but not look exactly a like.
It is probably because people with down syndrome suffer from physical (and mental) deformities that are the same per each child.

they have an extra chromosome, and that is what they share in common.
