A while ago, my PS2 broke so then I couldn't play my games. But now I have enough money to buy a new one. However, I am confused

about which model to buy. Should I get the fat one ore the skinny one?

The skinny ones are exactly the same just slimer. More mobile.

If you wanna put games' boxes over your PS2, then get the fat one.
Otherwise, get the skinny one, but never put anything over it.
With the skinny one you'll have more pleasance to move it anywhere.
As stated above, more mobile.
But it's also more fragile.

if you play " copied games" i recommend the fat. Because my fat PS2 lasted from the day i got it and then i modded it in 2001 i think and it still works!
though my friend got the skinny the modchip started to wear off and she needed to always reset the system and try to get it to work.
I recommend the FAT.

Well, I don't know why you would want a Ps2, but I'd pretty much say you should get the skinny one.
It's more mobile, and advanced in hardware technology.

Get the fatty, if you plan on modding it will last you, but be warned, you will need to get an adapter if you wish to play multiplayer.

i have a slim ps2, unmodified. but the prices are going max 20usd here on both consoles. so i wouldn't hesitate to get a slim one.

You can always emulate it if you have a ridiculously FAST computer...

Otherwise, just a get slim. Why would you want the giant ass brick vs the slim?

Also: if by broke you mean stopped reading discs, just clean the lens. This seems to be pretty common and takes all of 10 minutes to do. Mine went from being unable to read shit to working flawlessly.
