I'm trying to find a similar background in my resolution. (and less gay.)

It is a vector-styled wallpaper. Look up "vector wallpaper" and you will find quite a few which accord to this style.

It is, in a sense, it is usually smooth and without as many colours as you would find in other types of art. If you google vector art, that will be style that you will mostly see.
