With the Unreal Engine 3
you can search it in youtube
it was used for games like
Unreal Tournament 3, Mirrors edge, Blade and Soul, Gears of Wars(( the new one ))
I'm currently studying how to integrate the game into a new project file so its playable for everyone and not just Unreal Engine 3 Users
my goal is to make a MMORPG company maybe in 2 years, thats why I'm too much into 3D lately , and I'm studying Programming in College.
also I already have some contacts to work with.

Great, I'd love to see some of your future 3D sprites :3
The closest I've ever gotten to 3D was low poly with bitmap when I was doing pixel art but I failed horribly.

no sprites with 3D
its just 3D models and bone based animations

yeah though ... epic games got earlier, I was planning in this new system for MMORPGs like 2 years ago but now epic games (( creators of the Unreal engine ))got partners with the Mortal online and they are making the first Hi quality MMORPG FPS based
