Ok.. I have got an old printer that still works but i lost the CD for it so would it be possible getting the installation program from teh web?

Manufacturer's site may have an older driver if you're running XP, but if you have Vista/7 (esp. x64), you might need to check the Windows Vista Compatibility Center. Was a real pain in the ass to have a Brother printer when their site was all fucked up (fixed now, by the way).
If you need help finding the driver, post your OS and the printer model.
