Okay, I'm making my own tesla coil out of old capacitors, transformers etc, now I got it working pretty well but it only releases a charge when the power is disconnected. I need a simple way to pulse power through it at a very high frequency.
Any suggestions?
Don't come up with 'buy a pulse generator' because I need to make one myself.

I am not sure what you want - an oscilloscope does not generate signals - it can be used to analyze signals.
Sounds you need a signal generator.
How about building an astable multivibrator? Replacing the appropriate resistors with potentiometers allows you changing the frequency.
I am not sure about your power needs. If you need a lot of power, you might need an amplifier, too.

I don't need something to generate power but to put it very basically, I want it to switch a connection on and off very rapidly, I was thinking of a metal gear with a wire pressing down on it, that worked but it wasn't very practical, it needed constand fiddling.
