If you are really that paranoid, just unhook your ethernet, and forward your computer time to the first.
Then check for outbound connections.

When the virus infects it probably has a timer on it to be active on April 1, or sometime in April 1. They probably won't check website dates and times.

I hope you knew that changing back time doesn't work.
And, disconnecting won't work either.
If you plug in your internet again (when, example, its April 5), but there's Conficker in your PC, no use.

perhaps it reads off time when it is created then has a longggg timer that counts down then your method wouldn't work Wink

Did I make the virus?

No, but the people who supposedly did make the actual beast of a virus knew how to make an accurate timer.

It's not rocket science. It's just like when Windows updates your PC on a schedule.
