|
|
Recently i've used anti avira since my norton had outdated. So, one day, some time shortly i finished installing, it detect several trojans in several windows/ files. And i try to delete, but it won't go away and it keeps poping up, i tried everything but rename, so i tried that, it worked... And then the next day when i turned on my computer, a file was missing......Either due to the attempt to delete, or rename... How do i get this file back?
I'll get the name if anyone needs it.

| Pop in your XP or Vista CD/DVD and go through the steps to restore.

Does it specify which file is missing? If not, a restore install may be the only way.

Problem- don't have a reformat disk...
And yes, it says, i said if you need it, ask me for it. So i guess you guys need it.
Here it is:
Window title: RUNDLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\tjvupvha.dll
Thats the file i'm missing, only one. But my computer is running the same as usual....maybe not a problem now, but may cause a major problem in the future?

You got rid of the virus and now you want to put it back?
Go to regedit
HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Windows (or Windows NT)>Current Version>Run
Take a hard look at that list and you'll see something.

You believe everything Windows tells you?
No wonder your system is infected...
The files you mention is a randomly generated file created by a virus.
Since you ran a virus scan and removed that file, but traces of it still remains. This is why when you start your machine a error pops up saying a "windows file" is missing, but there isn't cause if there is then your system will not even start up at all.
The start up file for that virus is still running and by going to regedit you can manually remove those from the start up list.
Use CCleaner if your having trouble since its got a start up list editor of its own.
