Cheat Engine

I found a copy of the Macromedia flash player 9, as the cheat engine will not work with flash 10, at Adobe's website. I downloaded the copy I found there as a zip file. When I unpacked it and sorted through for the one that works for internet explorer on windows XP Pro edition and tried to install it I had a window pop open that contained a caution icon and stated “The version of Adobe Flash Player ActiveX that you are trying to install is not the most current version. Please visit the Adobe website to obtain the latest, most secure version.” When I click either the “X” or the OK button the installation process aborts. I have looked around this site to see if any of the pages explain a solution for my dilemma and have found nothing. I suspect that this is one problem that needs the touch of a programmer to solve, although I don’t know for sure. If there is anyone who may be able to help me it would be very much appreciated.

Your reply was “You teh search button...”, I can only guess you are referring to whether or not I tried to locate a copy by searching the web. I must have visited 75 to 100 sites that offered downloads of flash player 9 and they all linked with Adobe’s site and since they released Flash 10 they quit offering Flash 9 for normal download purposes. But if you find anyplace that keeps a copy that would defiantly solve my problem. Thanks

I am always interested in hearing, or reading, the reasons why someone advises me on any matter, especially when it comes to my computer because I am relatively new with these things. My plan is to keep the copy of Flash 9 and when I start finding content that absolutely has to have Flash 10 I will uninstall 9 and load 10 and when I want to hack games I will reverse the procedure, thus giving me the best of both worlds.

Someone else posted a query for help in hacking Flash ten because he claimed he tried all ways he could think of and none worked. Hopefully he will find this thread and when I solve this problem it may help him.

If this does not work and if you don't mind searching more, try looking through the Adventure Quest subforum here. People had to downgrade to Flash 9 for some trainers, so there were many threads concerning this same problem somewhere in that subforum.

The link you posted was to a download I have already tried and it has a problem finding the proper place to install itself. I have started to search through the Adventure Quest sub forum and found a download, directly from this site, for flash 7. When I tried to send a note to the poster I was told I wasn't old enough, it's been a lot of years since the last time I heard that, and also I didn't have enough posts.
