why a laser foir mosquitos though? couldnt they think of something a bit more useful i mean we already have like candles and sprays and shit ay.

Probably because of the fatalities from diseases such as Malaria and Dengue fever which just happen to be carried by mosquitoes. I wouldn't know though.
