And i totally forgot how to do this:

V5 + V3 = ?

Is it V8?
V8 sounds logic, but i'm pretty sure you can't add a square root to another square root, only multiply them.

So, which one is it?
I need to know fast please, so i can continue studying...


Oh, and also, V5 . V3 = V15, right?

5x+3x = 8x
(5x)(3x) = 15x SQ

cant be merged
unless your are talking about

and

V3

then it should be
__
V8

else
it should be
5V + 3V = 8V

You put the co-efficient before the variable

5V + 3V = 8V

5V * 3V = 15V^2
