dont hack your modem you will get caught and ban from there service, it has happened to me.

If you don't send any personally identifiable information through that connection, they can't find out who you are 
Smart people use a fast hacked modem for their torrenting/illegal shit and general browsing, and a legit modem with the slowest speed for doing anything personally identifiable.

| Uh, using a uncapped modem or some shit will get you caught VERY fast... likely entirely automatically.

I believe he's talking about using an unregistered modem. There wouldn't be any way to trace it back to him, I know plenty of people who have used unregistered modems for years.

Well, basically, I hook it up, plug in the cable wire from the wall plug ethernet in, spoof my mac, and I'm ready to go.
