I just installed COD4 on my friends computer. He's using an ATI Radeon x1650 series card, with updated drivers. The problem is that when I open COD4, a black window [command prompt] pops up, then disappears, and nothing happens.

Does anyone know what's going on?

[EDIT: OS is Windows Vista Home 32-bit. I tried the compatibility option thing, and running as admin. No luck.]

did you try reinstalling the game?

I assume this is a legitimate copy of the game you've just installed?
