| Just get the cheapest monitor that has a resolution of 1920x1080 or 1920x1200.

| The ASUS monitors are a safe choice, but lots of people had been talking about the BENQ E2400HD, if I remember. I would just skim some professional reviews for information on image quality, etc. Is scaling (when using it for console gaming) an issue?

Ok, currently I got an Samsung 913n which I think is awsome.
But its to small for me when Im working with photoshop and so.
I will use the monitor for the computer only.
Mainly for:
- Photoshop
- Movies
- Websurfing
- Little gaming
Yes I've heard 2400HD is pritty good, got any good review I could look at?

I wanted to get myself a 24" also since my 4 year old 19" is starting to act funny (can't really pin-point what's causing it).
Anyway from what I've read TN panels are mostly 6 bit not 8bit so they don't produce the true 16.7 million colors in 24bit mode.
You'll need to get S-PVA panels or above to achieve it.
Also what's better? 1920x1080 or 1920x1200?
Monitors with 1920x1080 gets a stamp of approval saying it's "Full HD".
Some say that's marketing crap where true HD is produced at 1920x1200 don't know if that is true or not.
BTW Acer and Benq are the same exact company.
edit: A very useful link for all of you.

Ok I had some research and got to this:
BENQ:
- FP241W
+ Better panel
+ Better image quality
+ Have both DVI and HDMI
+ Better viewing angels
+ Pivot
+ 3 usb ports
- Not so nice design
- 100+€ more expensive
- respons time, 6ms
- E2400HD
+ 100+€ cheaper
+ Have both DVI and HDMI
+ Better looks
+ Audioport (for headphones?)
+ respons time, 2ms
- bad viewing angels
- No dvi cable comes with it

| Personally, in the situation you are in, I'd go for the one that looks nicer. (E2400HD)

HMm really hard to choose.
Theres alot better viewing angels on the other one.
EDIT:
Ok, I decided to buy BENQ E2400HD.
I use my Samsung 913n on 0 brightness sometimes.
And the other screen isn't possible to this dark as I want.
I fix you guys up with an little review.

Isn't BenQ e2400 HD like $400? That's alot
(Not sure about the currency conversions)
Still writing a review? I'm tired of my e2200 and want to buy one.
