Question.

John has a $100 budget to buy sandwich meat and cheese for
a picnic. His shopping list and the prices at the deli are shown in the
Table. There is no tax on these food products.

Shopping List!

6lbs. of Turkey
?lbs. of Salami
5 lbs. of Roast Beef
6lbs. of Cheese

Deli Prices.
Turkey...................3lbs. for $13
Salami....................2lbs. for $9
Roast Beef.............1lb. for $5
Cheese....................2lbs. for $8

How many pounds for salami can John buy after he purchases the
turkey; roast beef and cheese that he needs. Be sure that John stays
within his budget. Show or describe all the steps you use to find
the number of pounds he can buy.

When John gets to the deli he finds that the cheese is on sale for
$2.50 per pound. Write how you can derermine how many
additional pounds of salami John can now purechase and still
stay with his budget.

6lbs. of Turkey=26$
?lbs. of Salami=????
5 lbs. of Roast Beef=$25
6lbs. of Cheese 6=$15

All those added togeather is $66

Cheese goes on sale for 2.50$ and he needs 6lbs so then
the cheese only will cost $15 rather then 40$.

$66-15= 51

which means he can buy 10 lbs of Salami

10lbs of Salami=$45

$51+$44=$92

God comon people its 8th grade math

Turkey: 13x2=$16
Roast Beef: $5x5=$25
Cheese: $8x3=$24

$16+$25+24=$65
$100-$65=$35
$35/9=3.8888888--->He can buy about 3.8lb of salami.

B.
Cheese: $2.5x3=$7.5
$16+$25+$7.5=$48
100-48=62
62/9= 6.88, so he can buy 6.88lbs of Salami
