Since you mentioned you have installed K-lite codec pack, just head over to add/remove programs and uninstall it.
Where are your rmvb clips?
In your C:\ or an ext. HDD? |

Every video player application you install will install some type of codec associated with it.
e.g. Divx player will install its own divx codec
FRAPS will install its own codec as well.
Try KMPlayer and see it that fixes your problem. |

All of the codecs you have installed. |
Thanks.
But do I really have to uninstall all codecs? _________________

If you're going to try KMplayer, you don't need to uninstall codec packs, since it uses internal codecs. |

I tried uninstalling my codecs, then installing Real Alternative and then K-lite Codec Pack but that didn't work. With KMplayer I had the same problem. _________________

This may be stupid, but setup a virtual machine and see if the clip plays properly. Maybe with all the codec installing it may have screws up your OS. |
