well as some remember i had the laptop that refused to boot due to hardware. well somehow i managed to just be sitting there turning it on and off and it went into safe mode as slow as slow could be. I managed to boot the xp disk and upgrade my windows which basicly just fixed drivers and hardware settings.

Now heres the problem. When i boot up, it shows windows xp pro and winsows xp pro SETUP. How can i get rid of this half assed setup? cuz if you dont switch it to the plain xp pro it will say hal.dll not found and reboot ._.

If anyone can tell me how to delete it thanx. I have looked in my C drive and to see if theres any partitions and i cant find squat.

Inside Windows, just edit the boot.ini file located in the Computer's advanced properties section.

Inside the XP disc, run bootcfg /switches to do it under command prompt.
Type help and press enter for more info.
