well i patched my uxtheme.dll so i can change my theme which ive done several times on 4 other pcs in te last 3 days. Now it wont let me change my theme from the classic and it says run a dll as a app has stopped responding.

Any help? i googled but all im getting is help for this when other programs cause it.

rollback to your prev. uxtheme.dll?
i'm pretty sure rundll.exe is used to run such things as control panel, properties of things, etc etc

tried it. Its staying all my svchosts are using uxtheme.exe and it wont let me delete it. I cannot find a fix for this either ._.

No way to boot to Linux/other live OS? The (easiest) way is to not have an active Windows session running.

since you got it only 5 days ago, have you considered reinstalling?

i got it today and i fixed it. The uxtheme.dll was fucked up. the only way to fix it was to rename it with a .bak and put the new one in.

My old one had shit spilled on it so i returned it to walmart.
