Just wondering why computers don't do the same thing every time.
For ex. I just booted up my computer and my networks were being retarded. I turned it off, back on, everything was fine. As I see it, nothing was done differently when I booted up the first time compared to the second. "Random" bugs are generated by odd conditions, I see no odd conditions.

I like programming because it's supposed to do the same thing every time. Since when did computers learn how to be a dick?

That sort of thing drives me crazy, too.
In this case, all I can think of is applications interfering with each other when initializing..

Happens to me too. I have to right click LAC -> Disable then Right Click -> Enable; then I can connect to the internet. I have no idea why I have to do it every once in a while.

Only thing I can figure is that I have Two computers that use the same modem(I don't have a router yet), and every once in a while it thinks the other computer is connected while my computer is trying to connect.

Sort of like when you get disconnect from IRC unexpectedly, but your NICK is still online - then drops due to a Ping Timeout.

But Disableling and Enableing it for me, I figure it drops the old computer[When disabled], and connects to mine[after enabled].

Cosmic Rays are one thing that could mess with you - especially in high altitude places.

..........

Let's just say that computers are a lot smarter since the time of the Altair 8800.

Because computers aren't a totally standardised platform?

There are billions of combinations of hardware, and software will never be able to cater to everything.

Offtopic: I thought it was Altair 8080 or is that the chip?
