Exactly what the title says. Googled it, Searched it.
Need to do this because the dll on it became corrupt, and when I used it, it gives me hal.dll missing or corrupt. So to put it simply, how can I put a dll on my Operated System Disk. When I drag a clean hal.dll in there it says"Please choose a writable disk." Or something along the lines. Why don't I buy a new one? I'm too cheap.
Thanks for your time..
~Alex.

There is no point as hal.dll is a XP source file created by them individual hardwares. Copy one and putting it in will not work. You need to get yourself another XP disc.
btw, it's hal.dl_ and hal.in_ on the CD not hal.dll
