I just want to know who is the front line people who gets rushed in first. The Marines?? What is the differences between the Army and the Marines? Who gets paid more. And like I don't know how to explain it, but I just want to know if there was a war, who be sent in first to clear the first line of enemy defense.

| Marines they do recon and stealth missions. They are the technical 'front lines' yet they always say the army is. The marines take out hundreds sometimes thousands before the army is even sent in.

| I think the first thing America would do is to drop bombs, clear part of the country and then rush in with the army..

Marines is mainly for amphibious assaults, and it's usually a lot tougher than the army cause they do lots of other stuff. My dad's in the Air Force which is better than both >.>

| Marines also do search and destroy missions. They find coordinates for bombs to land, evacuate people before bombs land, capture important enemy targets, and they are good with medivac and taking care of themselves. The army does mainly just rushing and fighting. Not much stealth. They do use strategies and other things, but the marines have already weakened the enemy severely. And the marines are pretty much the shock absorbers of the Military. They take the most before the army of navy. The army and marines both do ground missions, but they also do sea missions.

| My ROTC instructor was in the marines,he said very good pay. Also if your In high school I hope you join any kind of ROTC(there's airforce, navy, etc). If you do it in highschool your rank will go up and you will get bigger pay.

| Not so, my brother is in the marines and he is one of the highest ranks (Close to the president) His pay sucks. Although if you are in the marines then you don't have to pay bills, so technically you do get a lot of money...

| You miss what I mean. In the marines, his is considered closer to the president than most, doesn't mean he is technically close to him. His rank makes him closer. I'll have to ask him what his rank is next time he calls.

Thing is I don't want to be in the front lines and get killed easily, not that I'd afraid to die.
