I was playing NFS MW while msn and firefox were up. I finished a event challenge lap attack and i went to turn around and my whole pc just freezes fer no reason. i obviously just held the power button turned it off. When i booted it kept BSODing after the windows logo. Beyond what i had running the only other things i did was patch my theme dll and set my cpu to max performance.

Was this just a fluke or did i actually do something to this? I have all this same stuff on 4 other pcs; 2 desktop one identical laptop one acer 5050.

Something could have happened to the .dll (Been corrupted while editing it)then while you were playing it got accessed which caused the freeze. Now when you try to boot up it accesses the .dll and BSODs.

Are you able to boot into safe mode?
If you can, consider yourself saved, if you have any restore points.
If you can, just hit start -> accessories -> system tools -> system restore
