How do I get an xa+yb=c formula into a y=mx+b form?
I have to find the point of intercept without using a graph for these problems and every single one I've been doing with the xa+yb=c formula has been wrong -_-
This is what I did for one of them and I got it right, but one of the forumulas was xa+yb=c, the other was y=mx+b
3x-4y=-5
y=x-2
3x-4(x-2)=-5
3x-4x+8=-5
-x+8 = -5
-x=-13
x=13
y=13-2
y=11
So the point of intercept is (13,11) which is right according to the answer sheet, but every time I get one like this, I get it wrong.
2x+5y=62
3x-y=23.3
How can I find the point of intercept with these two?
