|
|
I have a Linksys WRT150N router and flashed DD-WRT.24 on it. But after I flashed it, wireless security didn't work anymore.
When I enabled it the LED on my router didn't go on. If I tried to connect, Windows says that the network is protected and when I enter the password of the network, it gives a error.
The LAN ports work fine, Wireless works fine too without security.
I don't want to use the Linksys firmware because it drops my connection almost each day and then I have to turn the router on/off again.
So does anyone know how to fix this problem?

The original firmware for your router may be old, but have you try Linksys's most update firmware for your router yet?
firmware 1.0.02 fixes router and wireless stability

Yeah, I'm sure I had the lastest one. But I don't think they're making new firmwares for this router. The lastest one is 1.51.3 and that one was already installing when I bought it.

According to your product support page, the firmware version you mentioned does not exist.

Then the lastest one should be 1.01.9 and not 1.0.02. Anyway, the original linksys firmware is crap and keeps dropping connection. DD-WRT has much more settings and is more stable. So just help me fix the wireless security problem.
Edit: The lastest firmware on the dutch site IS 1.51.3. So the US site has an even older one.

According to the US site
Version 1.0.02 is released on 7/31/2007
Version 1.01.9 is released on 7/11/2007
Now tell me which one is older?
Anyway after checking out the web, did you check out their special notes for your router?
And this may help you out
DD-WRT

Version 1.0.02 is the Setup Wizard. When you click on version 1.1 or 1.0 they switch place.
Anyway, I tried rebooting my router from the administrator tab and it still doesn't work. The only notes I could find on their website was: Must flash to Mini first, then full works. But that's only because the original firmware doesn't allow flashing above 2MB or something.
