Cheat Engine

I tried to watch several movies on my PC and as soon as it starts reading from it, BSOD.

Anyone have an idea of what might be the cause of this?

Probably a misconfigured codec?
I use K-Lite codec pack. Install and try again.

Check the system event log, and see if windows says anything about the device throwing up on itself. It should also have logged the BSOD, and it will tell you what threw the error.

Could be anything from the program to the operating system to the drivers. Try using a diff program, if it does the same thing, reinstall your DVD decoder, if that dont work, reinstall DVD player drivers... if none of that works then... you failed.
