Go to Control Panel and click User Accounts (in Classic view).
Click "Manage another account", and then "May" if that's your user name now.
Then click "Change the account name".

The user name folder cannot be changed even if you change the name through user accounts.

You must create a new account if you want a new name or change a registry or set of registry keys.

You could boot into a live Linux distro and mount the partition to change it. (Fairly certain.)

this looks look it could help. as kls85 mentioned, you need to tell the system that you've renamed the user folder. you do this by editting the registry (as is explained in the link).

although, i still don't understand your title, "C:\" has nothing to do with anything. Shocked

Run regedit as an administrator.
It's precisely retarded that Windows isn't able to change the directory when you change the account name. It... angers... me.

lol, that doesn't matter too much, it's just an environmental variable. because you're using vista, your user folder is in a different location. basically, just go to the users folder. the registry should (i hope) be the same, if not i'll try to find you another link.

if you find that easier. editting the registry using the link i sent you isn't hard either.
