The worst nightmares are the ones where you think it's real, and the sensation of dread is so powerful that you wake up feeling like shit.
Example: I dreamt (only word in the english language with an m followed by a t) that I had killed a man. The actual murder didn't take place in the dream, but I had hid the body in my basement. It was fairly horrible. I woke up feeling positively sick.

people die in my dreams all the time but i still wake up with a boner

| I don't think I dream. I always sleep really deeply when I go to sleep. I usually go to sleep at like 1-2 AM and wake up at 6:00 AM on school days. More sleep on weekends, but still deep sleep. I like having no dreams when I sleep.

everyone dreams, you just dont remember it. next time you wake up try to think of anything that you might have dreamed of, then write it down, eventually youll remember your dreams a lot more

I used to do this. One time, the last thing I saw before waking up was a series of numbers, and I was really excited and wrote them down. Too bad they didn't turn out to be lottery numbers or something.

I've heard that when you don't remember your dreams it means you didn't sleep very well (not a deep sleep).

i did it for a bit but eventually got bored, but it fucked with my memory, sometimes i cant remember if things actually happened or if it was just a dream, and other times ill have deja vu of dreams i had that resemble something ive actually done
you dream in REM sleep, this is the only type of sleep you need, its only like 3 or 4 hours of your sleeping the rest is wasted, if you dont remember your dreams it doesnt really have to mean that you didn't sleep well, its just possible your sleeping pattern is different from others. an easy way to lucid dream is to focus on it while your falling asleep, but of course that would only work if you immediately went into REM state of sleeping, its possible that he just has his dreams early in his sleep and then forgets them during the non-REM sleep
