After the welcome screen, I can move around and do stuff on the desktop for about 1 minute or 10 seconds, and the computer freezes. I can still move the cursor. The computer works in safe mode, and I already tried a full virus scan on the system with NOD32, Spyware Doctor, and Malwarebyte's Anti Malware. I'm also using Windows Vista Home Edition. I'm running the computer in safe mode right now. I also defragmented.
EDIT: Fixed by using SmitFraudFix. Thanks Mozilla Firefox.

Run Windows normally & download HijackThis & post a log here.

About 1 minute is sufficient enough, unless it's always 10 seconds or less...

try run > msconfig and unticking load startup items. you should be able to do this while in safe mode, then reboot and tell me whether or not you freeze normally.

How does it freeze?
I mean, can you ctrl+alt+del and end "explorer.exe" then alt+f,n and reopen?

| My pc was freezing the same because i have had something emulated in my drive. .and as soon as the daemon tools would load it would freeze weird.. but i could move the cursor lol

So you're doing fine in Safe Mode?
Uninstall NOD32.
Gave me the same problem once. Insane hangs that mirror your situation.
Give it a go and post results.
