In the last 52 weeks, Take-Two's stock peaked at $27.95 a share. As of tonight, it closes out 2008 at $7.56. According to an email conversation between Game Politics and every gamer's favorite recently-disbarred lawyer, the price plummeted due to good ol' fashioned divine retribution. And, of course, Thompson's worded it in his own inimitable way:
"GOD STRIKES TAKE-TWO DOWN"
Cute.
After a few more email exchanges, Thompson said of his recent struggles, "persecution comes Christians' way," but that, "There is no blessing for [Take-Two Chairman Strauss] Zelnick, who is not a Christian, when he gets what he deserves..."
Thompson later quoted the Scripture, defended his claim that the chairman is not a Christian, and said "Mr. Zelnick's problems at Take-Two are miniscule [sic] compared to the eternity of punishment that is coming his way unless he repents and accepts Christ as I did 32 years ago this month."
With all due respect to personal religious convictions, gloating over financial difficulties which could put numbers of people out of work seems rather short of compassion, but who are we to judge. |

| A person once told me, "God will not grant you anything that will take you further away from him." Meaning, if you are a christian and suddenly won 11 million, i doubt you will go to church anymore. Your prayer's been answered and you're probably not a devoted christian and will ditch the church after you got your prize.

That's the test for you I guess then, it seperates people who do have faith from those who don't. (I'm not a christian, but I'm a muslim and are beliefs are similar.)

Well my parents dislike Halo because of their own oppinion.
They dont need a fag like that to tell them what to thing.
That guy is crazy though.
