Assuming that most of you have Windows XP/Vista or whatever the older windows was called and that you have Windows Task Manager
How to Find A PID
1) Open Windows Task Manager
Alt + Ctrl + Enter or go to Run and type in taskmgr.exe
2)Click View > Select Columns
3) A New Window should pop up
Click the checkbox for PID (Process Identifier)
4) Find the Program you want to find the PID for, there should be a new column for PID
Why would you want a PID?
Simple for all kinds of things for example Hooking a .dll to a program,Hooking a trainer to a program, the rest should be self explanatory.
Also instead of using the Proccess's name you could use its PID.
Heres a senario
Your trying to make a trainer that hooks into different kinds of private servers of a certain game. But it only hooks to PrivateServer1.exe and not PServer1.exe.
Different names right?
You could simply use its PID to hook into all of privateServers
