Here's how you know you need to do something more with your life than squash snail s and mushrooms in a game that is remarkably similar to Super Mario:

1. You literally can't stop thinking about Maplestory.

2. You might do just fine in school, with friends, with women, but what you really want is to go home and fight snail s in 2D all night long.

3. You don't smoke pot, you drink it.

4. You're thinking of making a post explaining to me how there's more than just mushrooms and snail s in Maplestory.

5. You're hiding NX cards from your parents, or spend any money on NX for that matter.

6. You think of HP pots when you see a V8.

7. You think you're one of those people that has more of a life than everybody else playing Maplestory.

8. You mute Maplestory and put on "Numb" by Linkin Park while you grind because you saw it on that video on YouTube.

9. More than 6 of the above are making a lot of sense to you.

10. You type the shortcuts for the emotes on your various forum posts.

11. You're on CEF on and off for more than half an hour a day.

You don't have to prove anything to me, if none of these things make sense to you, you're one of the happy 1% of Maplestory players that aren't obsessed with the game. Keep doing just what you're doing. However, if all of these things seem really familiar, you may want to start doing the following:

1. Realize that those games you see advertisements for on sidebars on websites have better graphics than the >1GB eyesore on your C:/ drive.

2. Get some friends, it's really that simple.

3. Get a girlfriend if you've already got the above.

4. If you've got the above, get laid.

5. At this point, you should be slowly realizing that Maplestory is a waste of time, but more importantly, your money. All that money you spent on NX cash is starting to become more real, don't worry about it, lesson learned right?

6. Get more exercise, no not every Maplestory addict is fat, but there's no such thing as too much exercise.

7. Look at you you're fit, you got laid, and Maplestory's a thing of the past.

8. You can keep your Maplestory account for the time being, but if you get that urge to go back onto the account for whatever reason, give it to a friend, maybe an enemy is a better idea.

9. Enjoy your life, you only get one, make it count, if you're the average age of a CEF or Maplestory user these are definately the best years of your life.

That's all I've got to say, before you unleash your 4Chan-esque flaming onto this post just realize; this was just as much for me as it was for you, and I never told you to read it.
