When I first registered, I used to find every topic here interesting. Nowadays I only click on the occasional topic, the rest look crap. Is it just me or has this place gone downhill?

That is you becoming more intelligent. There will always be people at the 'idiot' level of intelligence. While you are smarter, the content of other peoples posts stays the same. This makes it all appear stupider and boring.

Likely a bit of both. That is, maturing a lot more, and the posts here becoming plain crap.
